IntroductionThe areas of study in the Department of Biological Environment consist of topics in Soil Science, Plant Nutrition and Fertilizer Science, Pesticide Science, Environmental Chemistry, Soil Microbiology and Biochemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Natural Product Chemistry, Plant Physiology and Toxicology. The curriculum is focused on the development of the students' abilities to assess soil and climate environment, control plant nutrition, develop biocides, and analyze and predict environmental contaminations. Most graduates of the department pursue research careers for governmental organizations and/or private institutes and companies dealing with organic and inorganic fertilizer, pesticides, foods, and environmental science related companies. |
