Department of Plant Medicine is an academic field pertaining to the study of various biological resources such as microorganisms and insects as well as educate and research for the control of diseases and pests that affect plants. Therefore, the educational goals of our majors are to understand the principles of establishing an eco-friendly plant protection system, and developing and industrializing useful materials from microorganisms and insects. In order to fulfill these objectives, we study basic concepts regarding to plant protection systems against plant diseases and pests and also research and develop eco-friendly plant protection technologies.
Department of Plant Medicine has two academic fields: first, the field of plant protection that can be used to develop eco-friendly plant protection technologies is the study of how the interactions between plants and diseases or pests. This is essential for ensuring food security and environmental preservation. Secondly, research fields focus on identifying useful substances that can be developed into health foods and medical sources from microorganisms and insects. The major curriculums are plant diseases causing by fungi, bacteria, and viruses and taxonomy, physiology, and ecology of insects.
